Q: How much experience does Power Personnel, Inc. require?
A: Minimum 1year within last 3 years clinical experience in acute care setting.
Q: What is the typical length of the assignments?
A: Most assignments for traveling nurses with Power Personnel are 13 weeks long. Although some assignments are as short as 4 and 8 weeks or as long as 26 weeks. In addition, we offer positions that are temporary, temporary-to-hire and direct hire.
Q: What if I am an independent contractor?
A: You will be responsible for tax deductions and workers' compensation. You must have the required documents to verify your independent contractor's status.
Q: Do you do temp-to-direct-hire?
Q: If a friend and I want to travel together, is it feasible to obtain assignments in the same city?
A: Because we have so many assignments available, traveling with a friend is no problem. Power Personnel has many travel partners who travel together and work at the same facility or different facilities in the same city.
Q: Can I bring family members, friends when I travel to assignments?
A: Of course! Power Personnel, Inc. understands and supports our travelers' desire to have family, and friends on assignment with them.
Q: How long will the process take to be approved and choose an assignment?
A: The timetable depends on you and how quickly YOU want to move forward. If you have all the required documentation at your fingertips we can begin reviewing assignments with you immediately upon our receipt of your application. Depending on where you choose to go, you could begin work within a few days or a few weeks. Some of our nurses even set up assignments 3 to 4 months in advance.
Q: Are cash bonuses paid at any assignments?
A: Yes. Hundreds of Power Personnel assignments offer Sign-on / Completion and Loyalty Bonuses. These incentives usually offered as Sign-on / Completion Bonuses up to $1000 and loyalty bonuses up to $500. (See benefits)
Q: If I refer a friend to Power Personnel, Inc. am I eligible for a referral bonus?
A: Absolutely! In fact, more healthcare professionals come to Power Personnel through referral from their friends and co-workers than from any other source. Our program provides you with an easy way of making referrals and earning $400 for RN's and $250 for LVN's and $100 for CNA's
Q: Do you pay moving costs?
A: We do not cover moving costs, however we do reimburse you for your travel from your permanent residence to your Power Personnel assignment. Most travel reimbursement is contract specific however we do reimburse at $.48 per mile for your own automobile, airplane or
Q: What type of benefits will I receive?
A: Major benefits include medical insurance programs, travel reimbursement and automobile reimbursement. Subsidized housing, license reimbursement, loyalty bonuses up to $500 and a refer-a-friend bonus up to $400.
Q: Can I add my spouse or dependents to the Power Personnel, Inc. medical benefits?
A: Yes, you may add dependents to our group plan. You simply complete the enrollment paperwork and pay the monthly premium.
