WI | State Licensure Reimbursement for RN's Registered nurses may endorse their out of state nursing licenses to California. All applicants must have completed an educational program meeting all California requirements and provide all transcripts for verification. If you are lacking any educational requirements, you must successfully complete an approved course in that subject before the examination.
Temporary License Costs: Additional $30.00. It will take 4 to 5 weeks. The temporary license will be valid for 6 months. Applicant must submit a completed application for licensure by endorsement, two completed fingerprint cards, application for temporary license, verification of license form from your state and all applicable fees. Total Licensure costs to work in California $136.00. You may begin to work once you have your temporary license and in approximately 4 to 5 months you will receive your permanent license. The State of California will confirm your license eligibility after verifying your out of state license with the Board of Licensing in your home state. State Licensure Reimbursement for LPN/LVN LPN's may endorse their out of state nursing licenses to California. All applicants must have completed an educational program meeting all California requirements and provide all transcripts for verification. If you are lacking any educational requirements, you must successfully complete an approved course in that subject before the examination. Power Personnel will reimburse the California State Licensure costs up to $136 to all Power Personnel employees who complete at least a 13 week assignment. Permanent license costs: $231 ($131 for application process and fingerprint cards and $100 license fee) The application process takes 8-12 weeks. Submit your completed application and forms, finger print cards and $131 to the Board of Vocational Nursing. Processing time will be approximately 8-12 weeks. Once State of California has received your application, processed all paperwork and verifications, you will be notified by mail. Once you have signed the notification, return to the State with $100 for license processing. The licensing process takes an additional 4 weeks.
