TITLE: Program Nurse- Gilroy CA-Will Consider a new graduate-8week Assignment

REPORTS: Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY/SCOPE:  As a registered nurse with the appropriate state licensing board, the Program Nurse is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of program’s medical management.  The Program Nurse provides effective clinical nursing evaluation and treatment (including evaluating and monitoring daily health and medical issues for all residents), as well as assisting the Clinical Director in reviewing Pre-Admission Screenings.

Outcomes:

Coordinates nursing assessment, treatment planning, implementation of care and evaluation.

Contributes to the development of the program.

Customer satisfaction as evidenced by data from customer satisfaction surveys.

Follows all policies and procedures.

Participates in orientation, yearly certifications and training program for direct care staff.

Provides documentation as required by program needs and licensing standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Will Consider New Graduate RN.

The nurse must be registered by the appropriate State examining Board.

Licensed and in good standing.

Criminal Record check and clearance, including finger printing.

Driving record check and clearance.

Current First Aid and CPR.

Initial Health screening, performed by or under the supervision of a physician prior to hire. In addition, negative test results for tuberculosis.  Health screening will include the employee’s physical qualifications to perform duties to be assigned and the presence of any health conditions that would create a hazard to the employee, the residents or other staff members.  Personnel with evidence of physical illness that poses a threat to the health and safety of clients shall be relieved of their duties.

Must be able to lift at minimum 50 pounds
